- This is a CD and record store at 5555 Claremont Ave between Telegraph and College in Oakland. It is run by Rick Ballard, one of our local jazz heroes. "In the Afternoon" - DVD
This is a live solo piano concert that I did in the summer of 2008. Bruce Mishkit, who did a wonderful job on the video and sound took only two angles on the piano, so you can always see the hands, which for me is always what I like when I see a pianist play. It helps the ears to see how the hands make the sounds. And I must say the music sounds beautiful. I had a strong connection to my inner ear that day and the atmosphere in the room is very peaceful. The audience really listened. So I am very proud of the result, my first DVD! You can hear a clip on my music page, and soon see a clip on YouTube.
