"A Song in Jazz" is my new trio CD with bass and drums. We play creative and intelligent arrangements to standards, jazz tunes and one original tune of mine, "So It Seemed". CD Baby: CD Baby is one of the main sites to go to to find independent musicians. It's great to support all the wonderful living musicians who are not on the few commercial major record labels.
The Bassment: The Bassment is the music store located at the Berkeley Jazzschool. Go to their website for location and store hours. The CD is waiting for you right now!
Groove Yard: This is a CD and record store at 5555 Claremont Ave between Telegraph and College in Oakland. It is run by Rick Ballard, one of our local jazz heroes. Rick publishes an e-newsletter about the local jazz scene. Sign up for it at groove2@earthlink.net and support the Groove Yard by purchasing CDs and records there. He doesn't have a website, so call him at 510-655-8400. He is open daily!
Mulberry's Market: This is a new and lovely convenience store in Piedmont at 335 Highland Ave. They are open 7am to 9pm during the week, 8am-8pm Sat and 8am -7pm on Sunday. Plus they have an excellent deli and great to go food, fresh coffee and other hot drinks, and a little counter where you can eat your sandwich.
